Zancott Recruitment considers the impact of our services on the environment. We consider sustainability in terms of environmental, social and economic impacts. This includes considering social impacts such as the impact on human rights that may result from the work we do.

Social Value Supply Chains

Zancott Recruitment’s ethical procurement principles ensure that we purchase products and services ethically and with regard to our environmental footprint:

  • We purchase energy efficient and low-waste products and systems;
  • We purchase goods and services from Indigenous owned business, preferably Supply Nation certified business;
  • We purchase goods and services from local suppliers.

Human rights

Zancott Recruitment acknowledges the traditional owners of Australia, and their Elders past, present, and future, and values the unique knowledge and contribution of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates, communities, and businesses to the Australian community. We recognise the impact that business operations can have upon Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. When undertaking our business operations, Zancott Recruitment commits to engaging in a respectful and consultative process with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in any business activity that could impact on their cultural, social, economic wellbeing and ability to enjoy their traditional way of life.

Zancott Recruitment supports our clients to achieve their Modern Slavery Act 2018 targets. We report against their commitments and pledge to undertake all due diligence to prevent the purchase and use of goods and services that may have used exploitative or slave labour.

Our Commitment To Diversity

Zancott Recruitment is committed to diversity: we employ Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and 15% of our labour hire candidates nationally are of identified Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background.

Zancott Recruitment is also committed to the promotion of women in non-traditional and leadership roles: 60% of our Executive Leadership team are women, and 50% of our Management team are women. Up to 47% of labour hire employees on some infrastructure projects are women working in non-traditional roles.

Community Engagement

Zancott Recruitment supports local community initiatives, clubs and charities. In 2018, Zancott Recruitment became the major sponsor of one of South Australia's first SANFL Women’s clubs, the Woodville West Torrens Eagles Women’s FC.

Zancott Recruitment supports the Deadly Jobs Facebook page, a community Facebook page that supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people looking for work or who are changing careers. The page is supported by Zancott Recruitment but is open to all training providers, employers and community members to share opportunities available for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander job seekers.
